H.R. 3134, the "Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015"
On Passage
House Roll Call No. 505
114th Congress, 1st Session

Passed: 241-187 (see complete tally)

On September 18, 2015, the House passed (241-187) the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015 (H.R. 3134), which would defund Planned Parenthood for one year. The ACLU opposed this bill because it would devastate access to the urgently needed health care services provided by Planned Parenthood across the country. Additionally, H.R. 3134 clearly aims to cut off access to safe, legal abortion for millions of women and targets the organization specifically because it provides abortion services – even though it does not use federal dollars to provide those services.
