On Oct. 27, 2015 the Senate rejected amendment 2552 to S. 754, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA), by a vote of 41 to 54. The ACLU supported the amendment because it would have modified section 5 of CISA to require the Department of Homeland Security to review all cyber threat indicators and countermeasures shared with them in order to remove certain personal information.
