Senate Roll Call No. 232
113rd Congress, 1st Session

Passed: 64-32 (see complete tally)

On November 7, the Senate, by a vote of 64 to 32, voted to pass S. 815, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).  The ACLU urged senators to vote in favor of ENDA because it would prohibit employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in most American workplaces, extending similar protections to LGBT individuals that currently apply based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, and disability.
